Well, friends, a lot has changed since my last Behind the ‘Gram post! Mainly, I moved.
It’s been absolutely amazing – I live in a city with endless opportunity for adventure, ambition… and happy hour.
Obviously, the Insta opportunities are plentiful and I shamelessly take advantage of each one. As expected, the execution is rarely as graceful as it may seem.
Let’s dive in.
My family and I had just finished a tour of the Lagunitas Brewery. We were driving home and the skyline caught my eye as we drove across a bridge. I was determined to get a picture of the view, but the bridge kept getting in the way! Silly architectural safety requirements. I snatched my phone and prayed for a red light at the perfect spot so I could capture my vision. We didn’t stop, but I did take advantage of my phone’s “Burst” feature and grabbed about 100 pictures in about 30 seconds. It worked out.
Every once in a while, you find people who just *get* you. Kinda like my incredibly talented, brilliant, supportive, hilarious #WeberFam. No idea what I would do without them! 💕 A photo posted by Haley Soehn (@myfunshine) on
This is my work family, the Weber Fam. We love brunch, and we love bottomless mimosas.
Some man came up to us to chat (he turned out to be married, which was weird). Because we have our priorities in order, we took advantage of his height (and relative youth/tech savviness) to take our picture. He started snapping before we were ready and, well, this is what we ended up with.
He left abruptly, before he could take a normal one, but I am okay with it.
One magical day, The Crave Bar ice cream truck visited our building. (Quick plug: This place makes magical ice cream. Handmade. Oh, and the “popsicle stick” is actually a salted caramel pretzel.) One thing we should get out in the open is that I am a terribly messy popsicle eater. Especially when the popsicle is massive and shaped like a square. Needless to say, this beauty ended up all over my face and hands. Some even ended up in my mouth, so that was cool. Did I mention that I was wearing white pants that day?
Today was an amazing day. Love is love, and it is wonderful that the entire country now has the right to truly showcase that love. I feel blessed to be in an incredibly supportive, inclusive and welcoming office – one that ordered 200 cupcakes to celebrate this momentous occasion. All smiles over here! Wow, putting this post together is a real reminder of my fabulously healthy diet. #CleanEating
Anyway, the day that same-sex marriage was legalized, my (amazing, fabulous, wonderful) company ordered 200 huge cupcakes to celebrate. Sprinkles, a local (amazing, fabulous wonderful) bakery, put together the order THAT DAY. Awesome, right?
Speaking of Pride, let’s chat about this colorful pic! My sister and I stopped by the parade on our way to the beach. Being there was an amazing moment – part of history! After the parade, we saw this situation being assembled in a park. No idea who they are, or what this image was, but I do know that my sister and I power walked across the park to snap some pictures of the chaos before they left. Success.
Nutrition workshop today at the office! Feeling so energized and motivated. A photo posted by Haley Soehn (@myfunshine) on

About 90 minutes after this photo was taken, I ate M&M’s. That’s all.
While visiting the suburbs, my mom and I stopped by the library (obviously) and happened to run into a book sale! It’s like they knew my wallet and I were coming! We only allowed ourselves to visit the 25-cent room, but look at this loot! Two hard-cover, never-used, cookbooks. For a quarter each. Library magic!
HR seated us next to each other. Fate ( & a LOT of laughs) made us friends. #WeberFam #webergirlsgram (📷: @margauxpepper) A photo posted by Haley Soehn (@myfunshine) on
A group of us went to this church, conveniently located across the street from our office, to take this picture of Margaux and Marisa with their gorgeous sunflowers. While there, I had some FOMO and made Lauren take a picture with me, too.
